Kian Mintz-Woo

BIO

Kian Mintz-Woo is a lecturer at University College Cork. Before that, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University, where he worked at the University Center for Human Values and the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. His work encompasses aspects of climate ethics and climate policy ranging from carbon pricing and the social cost of carbon to discounting and cost-benefit analysis. He received his PhD from the University of Graz. His work has been published in journals such as Climate Policy, Economics and Philosophy, The Canadian Journal of Philosophy, Erasmus Journal of Philosophy and Economics, Moral Philosophy and Politics, The Monist and Ethics, Policy & Environment. In 2021, he was selected as a finalist for the International Society for Environmental Ethics’ Andrew Light Award for Public Philosophy.
